Prykhystok (Shelter)

When the war uprooted thousands of families, the very first need was simple shelter. We opened our doors — and our hearts.

40+families sheltered
100+children got a roof and care
24/7support in the first months of war

“Prykhystok” is the project the center effectively began with. From the first days of the full-scale invasion we hosted families with children evacuating from the hotspots: providing housing, food, clothes and essentials.

Alongside practical help came the human kind: support, conversations, prayer, help with documents and finding the way forward. Many families who passed through “Prykhystok” are still part of the center's community.

A roof overhead

Temporary housing for families with children who lost their home or had to flee.

Basic needs

Food, clothes, hygiene products — everything needed in the hardest first days.

Human support

People were there to listen, support and help find bearings.

The way forward

Help with documents, housing and work for the next stage of life.

Who it's for

The project served families with children evacuating because of the full-scale invasion. The center's ongoing programs grew out of it.
